Rescue dogs, foster dogs, first-timers and excitable Sprockers. Here's what their owners said.

“Absolutely brilliant groom for my 12-year old foster dog who’d never been groomed before! Lorraine was fabulous - taking her time to go at my dog’s pace, incredibly thorough wash and dry, amazing all over cut by hand. Lorraine has such a feel for dogs and really understands grooming mixed-breeds. I couldn’t recommend Lorraine and her gorgeous home salon more highly. Great spa day for my older pooch who has been skipping around like a puppy since her groom. Big thanks from me and Velcro! ❤️❤️❤️ Check out the Facebook page for great examples of her work - really impressive. 👍👍👍”

“This is a well overdue review. Lorrayne is one of the most generous and kindest people and dog groomers I have ever met. When I took my rescue dog Skye (who had never been groomed before) she took Skye for hours and allowed her time to get used to her surroundings. Skye loved it there and was spoilt. The grooming was amazing, my baby girl looked awesome. Highly recommend!”

“So happy with my Poppy. Lorrayne did a fantastic job on my nearly 2 year old, very excitable Sprocker. Poppy went in, her ears were quite matted and she was well overdue for a good groom. She came out looking absolutely gorgeous and so glossy, and smelling beautiful too. Such a beautiful doggy salon and not rushed at all. Thank you Lorrayne and thank you from Poppy 🐕‍🦺🐾💕”

“Took my lovely pup to one in town…was not particularly happy. Met a lady who told me about Lorraine….I was so amazed at the difference a good groomer can make. And my Ginny loves her and her dog too. I get a couple of hours to do what I want and my wee’un loves to be pampered. Lorraine is a natural with dogs ..Highly recommend this lady.”

“Lorrayne, Princess Lucy Fluff-Butt and myself can’t thank you enough for your amazing talents and patience. 1st photo 8.30am on the Burrows … 2nd photo after nearly 4 hours of loving care, bubbles and cuts, snuggles and de-tangles… not to mention the beautiful perfume and the extra touches of love 💕 given. Your passion for what you do and the love you give Lucy is truly appreciated. I suggest if anyone needs their woofa grooming. Coastal K9 Cuts and Lorrayne come highly recommended ❤️😍😘😍❤️ actually I recommend from the stratosphere!! 😘”

We require 24 Hour’s notice for all appointment cancellations.

24 hour’s notice must be provided to avoid a cancellation charge.

Extreme care and attention is taken in all aspects of infection control & hygiene procedures within the salon to ensure we protect any pets left in our care.

We allow enough time to complete a full groom on your pet; we do not expect your pet to arrive at the salon with a flea infestation.

Your pet should receive ongoing flea treatment as recommended by your vet prior to booking grooming sessions with Coastal K9 Cuts.

Should you arrive and your pet has fleas the grooming appointment will be refused, and this may incur additional charges.

If flea’s are found on your pet mid groom, you will be notified of this, and a flea shampoo will be used in the best interest of the dog however, this will incur an additional charge of £15.00 to cover the costs of a full disinfection procedure of our salon and equipment.

De-Matting POLICY

The Animal Welfare Act 2006, states it is an offence to cause unnecessary suffering to an animal, and this includes prolonged de-matting.

If you bring your dog to our salon with more than 15 minutes de-matting work, we are required by the Act to clip your dog short humanely or refer you to your vet to do the same.

At Coastal K9 Cuts we believe that humanity over rides vanity, and if we feel that it is kinder to remove the coat that it is to try and de-matt.

Matting can be prevented by daily brushing with a slicker brush and comb, regular grooming sessions.

When a dog’s coat becomes matted, it can cause severe discomfort to your dog.

When a matted coat is clipped short, it may reveal sore, reddened/ irritated skin. This is usually because matt’s have prevented the skin from being able to breath and air circulation has not been restored properly.

Whilst we will make every effort to identify matting in pre groom consultations there may be occasions where the degree of matting cannot be fully identified until the groom as commenced.

In this event we will make every effort to contact you However, In the event that we are unable to reach you, and feel that it is kinder to remove the coat than it is to de-matt, this will be done in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

The need to clip a matted coat will be taken in the best interest of the dog and will incur further charges above the groom price due to the skill needed to remove matt’s and the extra time taken along with the additional wear and tear on our equipment.
